Career Specialties: Michael Drummonds specializes in multimedia publishing and cross-genre studies, contemporary YA, New Adult Nonfiction, Documentary Studies, Screenwriting, Podcasting, Post Production and Filmmaking, Video Editing, Graphic Design, and Digital Content.
Drummonds is the author of two books: his debut YA novel, The Immeasurable Silence of Breaking (represented by Harvey Klinger Literary Agency, NYC), and the forthcoming LGBTQ memoir, Fractals. His writing, photography, and video work has been featured on NBC’s Starwatch, NBC’s Daytime, NBC’s Sharktank, The Tampa Tribune, and other multimedia publications.
Professional and Community Activities: He has developed documentary and feature film scripts for Verisimilitude Films, produced and curated for Red Dog Productions and the NYC Media Lab, Fine Cuts Film Festival, VeraList Center for Urban Politics, and the NYC Climate March. He is a producer and co-host for the Fitposium featured ABS Life Podcast and serves on the judging panel for the Eckerd College WT Film Competition.
Sharing his time between Tampa and New York, Michael has taught, mentored, and worked for The New School Media Studies Department, Eckerd College, and Florida Urban Scholars Program.
He has performed and read for the 826 NYC Reading Series, The New School After Hours Reading Series, and at Studio 620.
He has studied and mentored with best-selling authors Ann Hood, David Levithan, Luis Jaramillo, Helen Schulman, and Karen Brown.
